Warranty Policy

We offer a one-year warranty on all new patio-heaters purchased from Alfresco Heating for all San Francisco Bay Area customers that are within our service area; even if the problem is caused by insects. Our warranty may not include a service charge (to get to your location). See details for your specific brand of patio heater below. NOTE: There is no service charge if you bring the heater to Alfresco Heating and leave it for service.

Not covered: Damage caused by extreme weather, vandalism, or abuse.

Bromic:

  • If the heater was sold by but not sold and installed by Alfresco Heating: There’s a one-year residential and commercial parts and labor warranty. The customer pays a service charge for a tech to travel to their location. Problems caused by improper installation or assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
  • If the heater was sold and installed by Alfresco Heating: There's a one-year residential and commercial onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location.

Calcana:

  • If the heater was sold by but not installed by Alfresco Heating: There’s a one-year residential and commercial parts and labor warranty. The customer pays a service charge for a tech to travel to their location. Problems caused by improper installation or assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
  • If the heater was installed by Alfresco Heating: There's a one-year residential and commercial onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location.

Infratech:

  • If the heater was sold but not installed by Alfresco Heating: There’s a one-year labor warranty. The customer pays a service charge for a tech to travel to their location. There’s a three-year parts warranty. Problems caused by improper installation or assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
  • If the heater was installed by Alfresco Heating: There’s a one-year onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s a three-year parts warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location.

Patio Comfort:

  • Residential: There’s a one-year parts and labor warranty. The customer pays a service charge for a tech to travel to their location. Problems caused by improper assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
  • Commercial: There’s a one-year labor warranty and a four-month parts warranty. The customer pays a service charge for a tech to travel to their location. Problems caused by improper assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.

Schwank:

  • If the heater was sold by but not sold and installed by Alfresco Heating: There’s a one-year residential and commercial parts and labor warranty. The customer pays a service charge for a tech to travel to their location. Problems caused by improper installation or assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
  • If the heater was sold and installed by Alfresco Heating: There's a one-year residential and commercial onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location.

SunGlo (by Infrared Dynamics):

  • Commercial:
    • If the heater was sold but not sold and installed by Alfresco Heating:
      • There’s a six-months onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location. Problems caused by improper installation or assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
      • Months seven through twelve: There’s a one-year parts and labor warranty. The customer pays a service charge for a tech to travel to their location. Problems caused by improper installation or assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
    • If the heater was sold and installed by Alfresco Heating:
      • There’s a one-year onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location.

SunPak (by Infrared Dynamics):

    • If the heater was sold and installed by Alfresco Heating:
      • There’s a one-year onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location.
  • Residential: There’s a one-year onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location. Problems caused by improper assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
  • There’s a three-year parts warranty for burners.

SunStar:

  • If the heater was sold by but not installed by Alfresco Heating: There’s a one-year residential and commercial parts and labor warranty. The customer pays a service charge for a tech to travel to their location. Problems caused by improper installation or assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
  • If the heater was sold and installed by Alfresco Heating: There's a one-year residential and commercial onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location.

Twin Eagles:

  • If the heater was sold by but not installed by Alfresco Heating: There’s a one-year residential and commercial parts and labor warranty. The customer pays a service charge for a tech to travel to their location. Problems caused by improper installation or assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
  • If the heater was sold and installed by Alfresco Heating: There's a one-year residential and commercial onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location.

Other Brands:

  • If the heater was sold by but not sold and installed by Alfresco Heating: There’s a one-year residential and commercial parts and labor warranty. The customer pays a service charge to get the tech to their location. Problems caused by improper installation or assembly by others are not covered by the Alfresco Heating warranty.
  • If the heater was sold and installed by Alfresco Heating: There's a one-year residential and commercial onsite parts and labor warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location.

For repairs performed by Alfresco Heating at customer’s location, on heaters that are not covered by any new-equipment warranty:

  • There’s a three-month residential and commercial onsite labor and parts warranty. There’s no service charge for travel to the customer’s location. The warranty excludes extreme-weather damage, vandalism, abuse, and insects.
  • Months four through six: There’s a six-month residential and commercial labor-only warranty, even if the problem was caused by insects. The customer pays for parts, tax, and a service charge for travel to the customer’s location. The warranty excludes extreme-weather damage, vandalism, or abuse.

For warranty replacement parts that are shipped:

  • The customer initially pays for the replacement part(s).
  • Alfresco Heating sends a return label.
    • Alfresco Heating covers the shipping both ways.
  • Alfresco Heating credits the customer upon receipt, inspection, and testing (if necessary).

      • If there are still issues after local service then:
        • If it’s small enough to package safely and ship, then we are happy to service the heater for free. Ask us for a return authorization, package the product well, and ship it to us insured (at your expense). After we service it, we will ship it back to you at our expense.
        • If it’s too big to package safely and ship then contact us for the next steps.

Calcana:

  • There’s a one-year residential and commercial parts warranty. Contact us for troubleshooting assistance for you and for your local repair person. †

Infratech:

  • There’s a three-year Infratech parts warranty. There’s a one-year Alfresco Heating labor warranty*. First, contact us for troubleshooting assistance, for you and for your local repair person. If additional repairs are necessary, then we are happy to service the heater for free. Ask us for a return authorization, package the product well, and ship it to us insured (at your expense). After we service it, we will ship it back to you at our expense.

After we service it, we will ship it back to you at our expense.

Schwank:

  • Bistro and Supreme Models: There’s a one-year Schwank parts warranty. Contact us for troubleshooting assistance for you and for your local repair person. †
  • Parasol Models: There’s a one-year parts warranty. There’s a one-year Alfresco Heating labor warranty*. Contact us for troubleshooting assistance, for you and for your local repair person.
    • If there are still issues after local service, we are happy to service the heater for free. Ask us for a return authorization, remove the head and pressure regulator from the heater - do not return anything else - package well, and ship to us insured (at your expense). After we service it, we will ship it back to you at our expense.
  • There’s a one-year Schwank parts warranty. There’s a one-year Alfresco Heating labor warranty*. Contact us for troubleshooting assistance, for you and for your local repair person.

  • Alfresco Heating sends a return label.
    • Alfresco Heating covers the shipping both ways.
  • Alfresco Heating credits the customer upon receipt, inspection, and testing (if necessary).

* Alfresco Heating will not pay to have another company service your heater. Our labor warranty covers Alfresco Heating labor only, at our shop.

† If additional service is required, these heaters would need to be fully palletized to ship by LTL truck. Calcana, Schwank, and SunStar gas patio heaters can’t ship safely by UPS. Unless you have the capacity to safely and securely palletize and stretch wrap the heater(s) to a shipping pallet then we can’t service it for you in our shop. If it gets to this point, contact us for next steps.
